Integrating Kount 360 Fraud Prevention for WooCommerce

The Kount Fraud Prevention plugin for WooCommerce provides fraud protection to WooCommerce customers for their online store. To successfully set up the Kount plugin, you must have your Kount 360 login and an existing WooCommerce account.

Note

These instructions are for Kount 360 users. If you are using Command, go to Integrating Kount Fraud Prevention for WooCommerce (Command). If you do not know which version you are using, contact Kount.

For the integration process, you must have the following:

  • Admin privileges in the WordPress site you are configuring to support the Kount extension

  • Your Kount 360 login credentials

  • A Kount 360 Client ID

  • A Kount 360 API key

Install the Kount Fraud Prevention plugin

  1. Sign in to WooCommerce with your WordPress.com account credentials.

  2. Select Plugins > Add Plugin.

  3. Select Add Plugin.

  4. Search for Kount.

  5. In the search results, locate Kount Fraud Prevention and select Install Now.

  6. After the plugin installs, select Activate. The plugin displays in the WordPress menu list.

Note

To enable a connection to the Kount test environment, enable Test Mode on the configuration page.

Find your Client ID

You must have a Client ID to integrate Kount apps with a third-party store. You can find the Client ID in Kount 360.

Note

You must have the Owner role to view the Client ID.

  1. Sign in to Kount 360.

  2. Select Admin > Product Configuration.

  3. Select the System Settings tab, then select API Keys.

  4. Next to your Organization, hover over the tooltip K360-information-icon.png.

    The Client ID displays in hovertext with the option to copy it.

Configure the plugin

Configure the plugin settings to integrate your WooCommerce store with Kount 360.

  1. In Client ID, enter the Kount 360 Client ID for your organization.

  2. Turn on Enable Test Mode to connect to the Kount test environment.

    Note

    For production use, you must disable this setting.

  3. In Kount 360 API Key, enter your Kount 360 API Key.

  4. Choose a Payment Workflow Mode:

    • Pre-Authorization: Query Orders before attempting an authorization from the payment gateway.

    • Post-Authorization: Query Orders after the payment gateway has been contacted.

  5. In Order Cancellation Message, enter a message for order cancellations.

  6. Select Save Changes.

    Note

    Do not select Regenerate Consumer key and secret key. This is generated automatically. However, if we instruct you to regenerate the keys, select Regenerate Consumer key and secret key, and then select Save.

Configure Event Logging

  1. In Event Logging, select the appropriate logs level.

  2. In Logs deletion duration (in days), enter the logs delete duration. The default setting is 30 days and can be extended up to 999 days.

  3. Select Download file to download the log file.
